Tom is out:-(((((

Well we are gutted to say Tom has called it a day after an agonising 10 mile stretch to CP3 in torrential rain... His Achilles and calf have become unmanageable despite his valiant attempts and he is now warming up in the car...

Tom has run an outstanding race and we are all so proud of him.

Congratulations Tom you're a legend...

  10. Absolutely gutted for you Tom, somehow it felt like you were doing it for us as well as for yourself. We have been glued to your progress and you showed massive cahunas to get so far in such poor weather.
Be proud, very very proud for what you achieved in the last 10 days is extraordinary and will go down as one of the heroic jogleultra efforts, now enjoy some rest and a few beers no doubt.

  12. Steve put it perfectly. Really gutted to see you not make it to Land's End, but be damn proud of what you have done. You did brilliantly out there and I can't begin to imagine how tough it must have been on your own. Get some good rest now, heal up and start planning another foolhardy adventure.

  15. Chapeau Tom, Chapeau. So very impressed that you made it this distance, not many people will be able to say that they ran the length of Scotland and some. High fives and chest bumps all round when your're back at work. For now, recover, reflect on your MASSIVE achievement and plan for next year!

  16. Extraordinary effort Tom. We're all very proud of what you've achieved and we know it wasn't for a lack of willpower or fitness that you had to withdraw in the end. Inspirational...

  18. Hi Everyone,

From the comfort of a sofa, with my feet up, I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all of you who have constantly given your support over the last 10 days, and for all the kind comments in response to me dropping out.

Although it was a - somewhat = tough choice, as I cant currently walk, I think it was probably the right one.

Now to recover and then, to prepare..... ;-)

  19. I agree with you that since you now can not walk you made the right choice.
