It’s a bleak morning up here. The car temperature reading is 7 degrees but there is a significant wind chill factor! Andy doesn’t seem too concerned about the weather – he is wearing shorts and a t-shirt and was very happy when we passed him on the way to CP1 at 10.5 miles. It’s only spitting with rain at the moment but waterproofs are definitely a pre-requisite for today’s run.
The pack is just beginning to spread out with Rainer and Steve P together at the front, shortly followed by Sean and Tom H, with the rest of the pack running together a short distance behind them.
